Positioning Props for Performance In the presentation of the video the props were already set up to go and the fire was set up off screen. This was necessary to save time during the performance to enable the video to run as fast as possible to shorten load time and maximize clarity. During a regular show you will not have some of these conveniences. So here is how the props could be manipulated during such a show.
For a regular performance the regular coins can be loaded into the cards and the cards held together with a loose fitting rubber band. During performance this funny packet can be acquired and held under the table. There the cards are held in the left hand in the position they will be in during performance. The rubber band can be slid off and you are ready to go.
Instead of having the coins already out on the close up pad during performance, the coins can be set up in a casual pattern and

placed into an envelope. Essentially the coins are placed into the envelope upside down. If the coins are spread out, the edges resting against each other, the goo on the coins will not touch the insides of the paper envelope. This allows the coins to slide freely in the envelope. During performance, open the flap and let the coins slide into your left hand or onto the mat. The right hand then picks the coins up one at a time to put in the middle of the stage area. During the process the coins would be turned over as each is put in its place.
Ditching the Stack In the performance of the routine on the video the stack was dropped when the right hand reached off screen to get the burning incense stick. There are many other ways to ditch the stack. One is to light the flash paper with the left hand and lap the stack. Another way is to have something in your pocket you need to set the flash paper ablaze such as a pack of
